Drogheda Credit Union is required to have up to date ID and Proof of Address (POA) on file for all of our members under the Criminal Justice Act 2021, as amended. As a result, we would appreciate if you could provide a copy of these documents to us when requested, or if you have not provided ID or POA to us recently, to please provide a copy next time you are visiting one of our branches.
Below is a list of acceptable ID and POA documentation. Please note that the name on your ID and POA must match.
Proof of ID
- Passport
- Driving Licence (Ireland, EU or UK only)
- National ID Cards (Note: Ireland does not have a National ID Card; this applies to ID cards from other countries)
- Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) Card accompanied by a letter from the Office of Minister for Integration
- Birth Cert (for under 16s only)
Proof of Address (dated within the last 6 months)
- Utility Bill
- Bank or Credit Card Statement
- Letter from Motor or Household Insurance
- Letter from Bank or Financial Institution
- Letter from An Garda Síochána
- Letter from Irish Government Department
- Letter from National Car Test (NCT) Centre
- Letter from a recognised School or College if you are a student
Minor Accounts (Under 16)
For minor accounts we require a copy of the minor members passport or birth cert accompanied by acceptable ID and POA from the above lists for the minor members parent/guardian.
We would greatly appreciate your co-operation in providing these ID and POA documents to ensure we comply with the requirements of the Criminal Justice Act 2021, as amended.
