Questions and Answers following our 58th AGM

Please find the questions and answers that were asked via the Q&A function at our AGM Zoom Meeting on the 22nd of January below.

 

Q1      Could you tell me regarding page 44 of Unaudited Financial Statements and Other Expenses of €198,376 – what is the breakdown

A         Computer maintenance of €30,000, audit and accountancy fees of €12,000, advertising €27,000, telephone and comms of €22,000, Lending expenditure of €10,000, lighting and heating €5,000, general insurance €9,000, bank charges €5,000, Payac/Current account expenses of €27,000, and also some other smaller expenses.

Q2      Can you give some more information about the mortgages available from Drogheda Credit union

A         The standard mortgage rate available is 3.9% but we are very shortly introducing two new mortgage rates – 3.30% for LTV of 80% and 3.4% for LTV of 90%

Q3      Would it be possible to lodge current accounts via the post office network in the same way as AIB

A         AIB and the post office have a partnership, especially since AIB closed so many rural branches. Your Credit union has a number of branches across our common bond serving our communities and our members can use any of these branches – in Drogheda, Trim, Dunleer and East Meath.
