Drogheda Credit Union is delighted to announce that Chairperson, Sheena Kierans, has been shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award at the All-Ireland Credit Union Awards 2025, which take place on Saturday, 18th October at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises individuals who have shown outstanding dedication and leadership to the Credit Union movement. Sheena is one of four people nationwide shortlisted for this special award, alongside Marie Kelly, Heritage Credit Union; Seamus Kilgannon, Sligo Credit Union; and Carmel Conroy, Kilnamanagh and Tallaght West Credit Union.
Sheena’s commitment to Drogheda Credit Union extends beyond governance, as she is deeply involved in community initiatives, local partnerships, and international credit union development work through the Irish League of Credit Unions Foundation.
In addition to Sheena’s nomination, Drogheda Credit Union is a finalist in several categories at this year’s awards, including Credit Union Person of the Year, Sharon Skerritt, Schools Coordinator; Best Marketing Initiative, Marketing Department and Social Dividend Initiative (Sustainability), Marketing Department.
The 2025 All-Ireland Credit Union Awards will bring together Credit Unions from across the country to celebrate excellence and innovation. We would like to extend our congratulations to Sheena and all the finalists nominated at the awards this October.
